A real question from the Algebra 1 bank, at the level a student meets it. Answer it and you get the same worked solution they would.

Algebra 1 · Linear Inequalities

One- and two-step inequalities

A parking garage charges $4 for the first hour plus $2 for each additional hour. Which inequality shows the number of additional hours h a driver can use if they have at most $16 to spend?

Pick one. No account needed, and the working is shown either way.

How it works

It decides what you practice, so you don’t have to.

Learn it, then prove it

Every topic has a lesson, its own practice, and a graded check you have to pass. Nothing is marked done because you read it.

Practice aimed at you

Sets are built from the questions you personally keep getting wrong, drawn from anywhere in the course, not the same worksheet everyone gets.

It comes back before you lose it

Passed topics return days, then weeks, then months apart. What you learned in September is still there in May, which is the whole point.

What’s inside

The whole course, not a sample of it.

This is the live curriculum, read from the site as it stands today. Nothing is locked. A student arriving mid-year starts wherever they actually are.

Hi, I’m Stephen. I’ve tutored math for more than 10 years. Over that time, I’ve completed more than 10,000 tutoring hours and earned over 650 five star ratings.

I studied theoretical mathematics and psychology at The Ohio State University and Excelsior University. I’ve also taught Honors IGCSE/IB math and worked as a college math teaching assistant and instructor.

I tutor Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus AB/BC, Statistics, and SAT/ACT Math. I focus on understanding, not memorizing steps, so students can confidently solve new problems on their own.

Hi, I’m Parth Mehrotra, a senior at Eastlake High School. I provide one-on-one online tutoring in SAT Math, algebra, college algebra, and AP Calculus AB. My goal is to help students understand why a method works instead of simply memorizing steps.

In each session, I focus on finding the specific point where a student is getting stuck. I then explain the concept in a way that connects with their current understanding, use targeted examples to build the skill, and adjust the practice based on their coursework and goals. Most importantly, I want students to leave each session knowing how to approach similar problems independently.

I earned a 1510 SAT superscore, including a 770 in Math and a 740 in Reading and Writing, and scored a 4 on the AP Calculus AB exam. Since I am a student myself, I understand how frustrating it can be when a topic does not immediately click, and I bring that perspective into every lesson.
